Paula Walton qualified as a state registered dietician in 1978, gaining a Diploma in Dietetics from Leeds Polytechnic.
She became a Community Dietician in 1980 and worked full time up to 1987 when her daughter Natalie was born. She then worked part-time up until last year when increased funding was secured to develop a dedicated dietetic service to the diabetic consultant at Hinckley Health Centre. She now works 25 hours a week, based at Hinckley and covering GP practice in the Hinckley area along with Countesthorpe and Blaby.
There is a general dietetic clinic at Countesthorpe Health Centre on the 2nd and 4th morning of each month.
She is married to Tim, a building surveyor, and has two children: Natalie and Jonathan.
